Chapter 20- Solving theSolid Stone Snag
   “Untie him, but keep an eye on him, we have to find the combination puzzle to get this to work we only had one shot to do this according to the prophesies.” ordered Von Egon.
   “This shouldn’t be too hard.” said James as they untied him.
   I shock my head in disbelief as I then remembered the what Grammy written, I had to look for one thing that represented both heaven and hell.  I looked around the floor, then not too far from where I stood I found ancient Hindu writings.
   “ ‘Knowledge, time and soul belong to you once you learn to use it wisely, your reward will be the gift of heaven, or Kali and her followers shall be ready to send you to hell.’ ” I read softly.  “So that means don’t touch anything or get your ribs served for dinner.” I added.  
   I got up and searched the floor and not too far away I found on the wall a Large star, some of it’s points were pointed others were wavy like fire. The center circle it had a combination puzzle of a diagram.  And to my luck it was facing the face of Kali.  I went to the ledge saw the guys as I stood, ‘Should I or Should I not tell them? They have your brother, well you never regretted anything yet, go for it what do you got to loose?’ I thought, knowing I had forgiven the past.
   “Von Egon!” I yelled.  His men then turned and fired as I quickly went back for cover.
   “Stop your fire!” Commanded Von Egon over the firing, “We need those pieces you fools!”  Once it stopped I got as I walked up to the edge and looked down at everyone.
   “James are you alright?” I asked.
   “I’ll live, I hope.” was his reply.
   “Yep, your fine.” I chuckled.
   “Tell me Ms. Hansen do you have any explanation for you’re interruption?” said Von Egon.
   “Yes, I do.  Do you really think the combination puzzle down there is the actual one?” Well your wrong it isn’t.”
   “NO, THAT IS THE PUZZLE!” He yelled as he pointed to it in the center of the floor.
   “Oh . . Not really it’s more like an flipped reproduction of it.”
   “Your Bluffing.”
   “Now why would I do that when I need you to take it so I can steal it from you as I save James sometime maybe later tonight.”
   “Marx, Kill her if she does attempt anything foolish.”
   “Yes Sir.” said Marx nervously as he slowly lifted his sniper rifle.
   “Well it’s my way or the Cross Canada Highway!  Go ahead try it those pieces aren’t going to move unless you want to waste more time then wait for another prophesy in oh lets say a one to a thousand more years.”
   “Fine!  If you think your so smart prove your theory!” he snapped.
   “Then I shall.” I went to the Sun Star arranged the pieces to make the diagram of the ‘Eye of All Sources’ and pushed it into the wall.  A large hallow click echoed the whole temple, the items then clicked and moved on an slanted angle then I saw a stone ball shoot out from the floor, missed the chisel in the crystal and exploded into sand.  I caught the next stone ball, then threw it myself directly at the chisel then the crystal exploded as the pieces then became liquid.  
   “Didn’t I tell you Melanie is better than me.” Said James, proudly to Marx as they watched Von Egon racing towards the alter.
   I ran to close to Kali grabbed my whip saw the crystallized liquid became a fountain as two pieces emerged I cracked my whip, flipped my body upside-down and grabbed the 2 pieces in my left hand before Von Egon got his chance.  Then I flipped onto my feet as my whip let go, landed on my feet and ran behind the nearest pillar.
   “HANSEN!” Yelled Von Egon.
   “I’ll be seeing you again! When I come back for James!” I vowed as I put the two pieces in my back pack, and made my way to find an exit.  “I didn’t imagine I’d get a two for one deal.” I said to myself.  
   I then saw the crystallized liquid travel on the floor go up to the statues feet and climb up their legs, bodies then into the nostrils of the stone bulls and the beaks of the Guruda(s).  I then saw one the Stone bulls arms move and the joints crumbled as it moved onto the floor in front of me.  I grinned ‘This is going to be fun.  Man!  I missed doing stuff like this.’ as I kicked that one first in it’s stomach then spun around as I kicked the sword out of the stone hands of another, slashed it in half  and it crumbled to dust as I slashed the one that I had kicked earlier.
   Von Egon and his guys were having their share of problems too, they fired their guns at the statues as they came forward.  The griffins galloped as they knocked soldiers off their feet.  Some of then got killed by a flying spear or their head’s sliced off by a sword.  As for Von Egon, he was making sure he was staying alive and keeping an eye on my brother James whom was trying to make a run for freedom as they were fighting, James found a chain that went up to the top floor and on the way up he met a statue waiting for him.  James grabbed it’s spear and to fell and smashed into pieces on the floor.  He knew he couldn’t go far before he knew he was safe for good then caught again when he least expected it.
   I had finished slicing and dicing my share or at least that was what I thought until I turned behind me to see three acting like ‘The Three Stooges’ as they fought on who was going to get at me first.  It was funny to watch, yet I looked at my watch to see the time I took out my pistol and shot them all in the head.
   “Sorry guys.” I apologized, I turned behind me to see another one trying to be fancy with it’s sword as it swung it’s sword in a fast figure eight.  I grinned wider as I used the same pistol and shot it in the head and watched it crumble, as I returned it.  I then ran as I saw a griffin galloping fast towards me, it jumped I dove to the floor as it crashed into Zebu statue.  I grabbed my pistols as got up and shot the last Zebu statue then ran to the alter in front of Kali.
   Von Egon grabbed James as he looked behind himself to see me holding up all the pieces I have found, smiled as I shock my head, then placed them back in.  My smile soon disappeared as I then heard loud, hallow, crumbling, noises from behind.  I slowly turned and my eyes grew wide eyed as I looked behind me and saw Kali coming to life just like the Bulls and the Griffins.
   “Now this is new.” I said, nervously.  I then went down the steps as I  watched Von Egon and the remainder of his men take James out of the tomb.  I then took my pistols turned to face Kali and I saw her take three swords out of the ground where she stood.  I then aimed and shot the upper right arm off as she attacked, and I did a somersault side jump over her arm as I shot her.  I landed roughly on the floor as I flipped around and shot her lower left arm as she tried again.  I then saw the symbol of the ‘Eye of All Sources’ right on her forehead, I aimed for the symbol, shot four bullets, and ran as she crumbled up.  Some of the rubble tripped me as I fell down on the floor, I rolled over as I returned my pistols to the holsters, got up and then ran out of there.
